Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. white corn syrup
    1/3 c. water
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 qt. popped corn
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup, water, butter, vinegar and salt.
    Cook, stirring, until sugar is dissolved.
    Continue cooking without stirring until syrup reaches 270\u00b0 or forms a brittle ball when dropped in cold water.
    Add vanilla.
    Pour syrup over popped corn, stirring until all kernels are covered.
    Grease hands with butter and shape into balls.
    Makes 12.
    Do not double recipe.
    It is better to make several small batches.
