Banana Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 c. sifted baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. ripe bananas
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and soda.
Mash bananas with beater.
Add lemon juice and mix. Cream the shortening and sugar with electric mixer at medium speed.
Add eggs and continue to beat about 4 minutes.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk.
Fold in bananas and nuts. Pour into greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Cool in pan 10 minutes.
Remove from pan.
Wrap in plastic and let stand overnight before slicing.
