Apple Cranberry Deep Dish Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. apple spice or 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. finely shredded orange peel
1/2 c. (one 16 oz. can) whole cranberry sauce
7 c. peeled and thinly sliced apples (about 2 1/4 lb.)
1 recipe single crust pastry or frozen pastry, thawed
1 egg yolk
1 Tbsp. water
1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

In
a
mixing bowl, stir together 1/4 cup sugar, flour, apple pie spice or nutmeg and orange peel.
Stir in cranberry sauce. Add
apples;
toss\tto coat.
Transfer to 10-inch deep dish pie plate or 1 1/2 quart casserole.
