Whole Wheat Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. whole wheat pastry flour
    1/2 c. unbleached white flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. mashed ripe bananas
    1/4 c. buttermilk or plain yogurt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cream butter and sugar together until light and creamy.
    Beat the eggs slightly.
    Combine with bananas and buttermilk or yogurt.
    Sift together all the dry ingredients and add to wet ingredients.
    Mix until well blended.
    Put into oiled 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
    Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until tested done.
    Let cool on rack.
