Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation

Cream butter; add sugar and beat well.
Beat eggs and add to creamed mixture.
Sift together all dry ingredients and add to mixture.
Mix well.
Add flavorings, mixing well.
Chill dough overnight.
Roll thin on floured board.
Cut into desired shapes and bake on greased cookie sheet in 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
Do not overbake.
Cookie should appear only slightly browning around edges.
This recipe will make 60 to 75 cookies.
