Ingredients

2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 c. raisins
3/4 c. chopped nuts (walnuts/pecans)
Preparation

Mix together all dry ingredients well.
Separately, cream shortening, sugars and eggs together well.
Blend in flour mixture.
Add raisins and nuts; mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 10 to 15 minutes until light brown.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies. Delicious!
