Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. oil
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
4 c. flour
Preparation

Thoroughly cream butter and oil with sugars; add vanilla and eggs.
Mix well.
Mix with dry ingredients.
Measure by rounded teaspoonfuls; dip in colored sugar.
Put on cookie sheet.
Flatten with bottom of glass.
Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 9 minutes.
