Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. seeded raisins
2 Tbsp. caraway seed
2 Tbsp. butter
2 eggs, beaten
2/3 c. sour milk (approximately)
Preparation

Sift, measure and sift flour again.
Add soda, salt and sugar; sift again.
Add caraway seed.
Melt butter.
Add beaten eggs and enough sour milk to obtain 1 1/4 cups liquid.
Quickly combine wet and dry ingredients.
Put on floured board.
Knead with tips of fingers lightly for 1 minute.
Put in greased heavy iron or other heavy baking dish.
Set in preheated 375\u00b0 oven.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
Serve hot with plenty of butter.
