Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. sour cream
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation

Cream the shortening and sugar.
Add the sour cream, eggs and vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Add to creamed mixture and chill overnight or in the freezer for several hours.
Roll small portions out on lightly floured surface.
Use cutters to make cutouts of your choice.
Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Cool.
Frost with Buttercream Frosting and decorate. Makes 6 dozen.
