1 c. shortening
1 c. crunchy peanut butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar, packed
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Beat the shortening and peanut butter until creamy.
Add sugars; beat after each addition.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Add flour to peanut butter mixture.
Shape into 1-inch balls.
Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Flatten with fork making crisscross.
Bake at 375\u00b0 until light brown, approximately 10 to 12 minutes.
Remove from cookie sheet while warm.
