Chocolate Drop Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 cocoa
    1/3 c. evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening; add sugar gradually and continue creaming until mixture is light and fluffy.
    Add egg and mix well.
    Sift flour with salt and baking powder.
    Mix cocoa with dry ingredients. Add alternately with the milk to the creamed mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
    Blend in vanilla.
    Drop dough onto slightly rounded teaspoon, one at a time onto lightly greased baking sheet about an inch apart.
    Bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 until lightly browned, about 15 to 20 minutes.
    Remove to cooling rack immediately.
    Makes about 70 cookies.
