Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
5 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla (optional)
1 c. raisins
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. buttermilk or less
1/2 stick butter, melted
Preparation

Flour can be half whole wheat.
Everything must be at room temperature.
Sift flour, baking powder and sugar, then add raisins and mix in.
Break eggs and mix into buttermilk and add vanilla if desired.
Mix every ingredient together.
Don't overdue the mixing. Finally, add the melted butter.
Set aside for 1/2 hour at room temperature and then turn into greased baking pan.
Rub melted butter across top and cut X on it.
In 20 minutes, put it in preheated 350\u00b0 oven.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Test by inserting narrow knife.
If no dough adheres, it is done.
