Ingredients

2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter Crisco
2 Tbsp. water
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. packed light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
In a bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt.
In a large bowl, beat butter, both sugars and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 to
11 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly.
Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes 6 dozen cookies.
