Boston Brown Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. cornmeal
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. molasses
1 beaten egg white
1 tsp. oil
1/4 c. raisins
Preparation

In a medium bowl, stir first 6 ingredients together.
Stir in next 4 ingredients until blended.
Stir in raisins.
Spray 4 to 4 1/2 cup mold or 7 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 2-inch loaf pan with nonstick spray.
You can:
(A) bake bread 45 to 50 minutes at 350\u00b0 or (B) after pouring batter into mold or pan, cover tightly with foil. Put mold or pan on a rack in Dutch oven and pour 1-inch of water around pan.
Bring water to a boil and simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hours, adding water as needed.
Remove from Dutch oven and cool on rack 10 minutes.
Remove from pan.
Serve warm.
