Ingredients

1 1/3 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. boiling coffee
6 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. grated orange rind
Preparation

Cream butter and stir in sugar and molasses.
Stir in coffee. Add remaining ingredients and stir until a soft dough is formed. Turn dough out on floured board and knead until smooth.
Wrap dough and chill for 2 hours.
Shape dough as desired and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375\u00b0 for 7 to 10 minutes.
Cool and decorate.
Makes 4 or 5 dozen, depending on shape and size.
