Lemon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped nuts
grated rind and juice of 1 lemon
Preparation

Beat together the shortening and 1 cup of the sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one.
Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk to the sugar mixture, beating well after each addition.
Add nuts and lemon rind.
Turn batter into greased 8 1/2-inch bread pan.
Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
