Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. granulated sugar or brown sugar (whichever you choose)
4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. raisins, chopped
3/4 c. dates, chopped
1/2 c. mixed candied fruit
1 c. chopped nuts
2 c. applesauce
3 eggs, beaten
Preparation

Cream together butter and sugar.
Sift all dry ingredients together.
Add alternately with eggs.
Stir in nuts and fruit. Add applesauce to which 1/2 teaspoon soda and 1/2 teaspoon salt have been added.
Bake in tube pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
