1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. mandarin peel, chopped
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. mandarin juice
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Preparation

Mix flour, salt and baking powder.
Cream butter and sugar together.
Add mandarin juice and mandarin peel, then blend in flour mixture.
Chill dough a few minutes until it can be rolled easily.
Roll out on floured board to 1/8-inch thick or thinner. Cut with fancy cutters and place on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake in moderate oven, 350\u00b0 for about 12 to 15 minutes, depending on thickness of cookies.
Remove to wire racks and brush while warm with glaze.
Makes 4 dozen.
