Roll-Out Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. butter
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Mix sugars, shortening, butter, egg and vanilla together until smooth.
    Stir in flour, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar. Chill.
    Roll out with flour and sugar.
    Mixture can also be formed into ball-like walnut shapes.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375\u00b0 for approximately 8 minutes.
