Favorite Peanut Butter Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (1/2 lb.) butter or margarine, softened
    1 c. peanut butter
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 c. granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In a large bowl of electric mixer, beat butter until creamy. Gradually beat in peanut butter, brown sugar, then granulated sugar.
    Beat in eggs, then vanilla.
    In another bowl, stir together flour and baking soda; gradually add to butter mixture, blending thoroughly.
    Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
    Press balls down with a fork, making a crisscross pattern on top.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
    Let cool on cookie sheet about 1 minute, then transfer to racks to cool completely.
    Store airtight.
    Makes about 7 dozen.
