American Indian Fry Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. flour
1 heaping tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. powdered milk
1 tsp. salt
2 to 2 1/2 c. warm water
lard (for deep frying)
Preparation

Mix the dry ingredients and add warm water to form soft dough. Put aside for 2 to 3 hours, then the dough can be kneaded for a minute and rolled out on a floured board. Cut dough into pieces (doughnut shaped) and fry until brown.
Goes good with chili.
