Sleeping Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. sugar
    6 oz. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Beat egg whites at high until frothy; add salt.
    Continue to beat.
    Add sugar, some at a time, beating all the while.
    Beat until stiff.
    Add vanilla, still beating. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
    Grease cookie sheet, even if Teflon.
    Put batter on sheet using heaping teaspoonful.
    Put in oven.
    Turn it off.
    Take a nap while they are baking; read a good book.
    Just leave cookies alone for at least 3 hours.
    They freeze well and thaw quickly.
