Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. margarine (2 sticks)
3/4 c. light brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. peanut butter
Preparation

Sift first 3 ingredients.
Set aside.
Melt margarine in microwave; add sugars, salt and vanilla.
Mix well.
Add eggs and beat until well mixed.
Add peanut butter and mix well.
Stir in flour mixture.
Dough will be heavy.
You may have to use your hands.
Chill about 1 hour.
Form into walnut-size balls.
Place on cookie sheet and press with fork (crisscross).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 14 to 18 minutes.
