Banana Pecan Torte - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cup butter or oleo, softened
2 1/2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 cups mashed ripe bananas (about 4 medium)
2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 cup chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
Beat in bananas and vanilla.
Combine dry ingredients.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Stir in pecans.
Bake in three layers at 350 degrees for 30 - 35 minutes.
