Homemade Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 jelly glasses lukewarm water
1 tsp. dry yeast (double in winter)
1 heaping Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. Wesson oil
1 Tbsp. salt
3 sifters flour (amount varies)
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in one glass of water.
Let stand 5 minutes. Add salt, sugar, oil and remainder of water.
Add first two sifters of flour.
Can be stirred in with a spoon.
Then knead until it is not sticky.
May have to add more flour.
Cover with Crisco and let rise until doubled in bowl.
Knead down.
Divide into 3 equal loaves.
Put in 3 bread pans and again cover with light coat of Crisco.
When doubled in size bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Reduce to 350\u00b0 and continue baking for 30 minutes.
Turn out on cooling rack.
For a tough crust, dampen crust with water.
