Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 (9 oz.) pkg. Borden's mincemeat
3 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar; add beaten eggs, continue beating until creamy.
Crumble the mincemeat and mix until mincemeat is dissolved.
Add soda and salt; mix well.
Add flour; mix well. Add pecans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes about 5 dozen (3-inch) cookies.
