Ingredients

1 stick margarine or butter, softened
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. quick cooking oats
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Beat margarine, sugars, peanut butter, vanilla and egg in a medium bowl vigorously until creamy and well blended.
Mix in flour and oats.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool 1 minute.
Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
Yields about 2 dozen cookies.
