Carrot Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. cooked, mashed carrots
    1 1/2 c. pastry flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Combine.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 until light brown.
    Frost with frosting while warm.
