Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 egg yolks
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
Preparation

Whip the first 4 ingredients together.
Add salt and flour. Roll dough into ball.
Dip into 2 slightly beaten egg whites, then roll into 2 cups nuts.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 5 minutes.
Take out of oven and make thumbprint on middle of cookie.
Return to oven for 7 minutes more.
Decorate with colored icing in thumbprint.
