Ingredients

1 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
3/4 c. peanut butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Blend sugar, Crisco, peanut butter, salt and egg.
Add dry ingredients.
Mix well (use hands).
Shape into 1-inch balls.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten with fork (crisscross).
Dip fork in water to prevent sticking to cookie dough.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly brown on edges.
