Swiss Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1 Tbsp. salt
    3 1/2 c. rye flour
    2 c. white flour
    2 1/4 c. warm water
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in a
    little
    of
    the
    warm water.
    When well mixed, add the rest
    of the water, salt and rye flour and mix well.
    Add the white
    flour,
    a
    little
    at a time, mixing well after each addition
    until
    a
    fairly stiff dough.
    Cover dough and let stand at least 1 1/2 hours or until doubled.
    On floured board,
    turn dough and knead until smooth.
    Divide in 2.
    Form each part into a round ball.
    Place on greased cookie sheet.
    With a knife, make a cross on top of each loaf.
    Cover and let
    rise until
    double.
    Bake
    in 400\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
