Finnish Coffee Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 1/2 c. lukewarm milk
    2 pkg. yeast
    1/2 c. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    8 c. flour
Preparation
    Beat the sugar with the egg.
    Add the milk, yeast, butter, salt and 2 cups of the flour.
    Mix until smooth.
    Add rest of the flour and let rise until double in size.
    Knead down, cut into strips and braid into 3 or 4 loaves.
    Let it rise again until light.
    Bake on a cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes until brown.
    When cool, decorate with frosting or fruit.
    This is also good just as it is.
