Diabetic Fruit Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dates, cut fine
    1 c. water
    1 c. raisins
    1 stick margarine
    1 1/2 c. flour (white or whole wheat)
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs, beaten
Preparation
    Simmer the first 3 ingredients for 3 minutes. Drop in the margarine and let cool. Add the flour, soda, vanilla and eggs. Mix well and drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Keep refrigerated when baked.
