Ingredients

6 c. plain flour
1 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. molasses
1 c. butter, melted
2 tsp. soda mixed with 4 tsp. hot water
Preparation

Sift together flour, sugar, ginger and cinnamon.
Add molasses, butter and soda.
Dough will be stiff.
Chill overnight.
Take out of refrigerator and let it get to room temperature.
Work small pieces, about large biscuit size, in hands until soft.
Roll out thin and cut cookies.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 8 to 12 minutes, depending on thickness.
