1/2 lb. butter
1 c. granulated sugar
2 egg yolks
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. jam (strawberry, raspberry, apricot or whatever you like)
small amount confectioners sugar
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter until soft.
Gradually add sugar; mix until light and fluffy.
Add egg yolks; blend well.
Gradually add flour; mix thoroughly.
Fold in chopped nuts.
Batter will be thick.
Spoon half the batter into the prepared baking dish. Spread jam evenly over dough.
Gently cover with remaining dough. Bake for 1 hour or until lightly browned.
Remove from oven; cool completely.
Cut into small squares (about 12 to 16).
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar before serving.
