Ingredients

1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
3/4 to 1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. soft butter
1 egg
1 Tbsp. milk
1 1/2 tsp. grated orange or lemon peel
1/2 tsp. almond or vanilla extract
1 c. rolled oats
Preparation

Combine ingredients. Work oats in with hands.
Drop by tablespoon.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
