Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    4 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. self-rising flour (if plain flour is used, add 2 tsp. soda and 1/2 tsp. salt)
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    6 small ripe bananas, mashed
    1 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Add mashed bananas and nuts. Add flour and milk and beat well.
    Grease and flour pans.
    Bake in preheated oven at 325\u00b0 for about 1 hour and 30 minutes if you use a tube pan and about 1 hour and 10 minutes if you use 2 large loaf pans.
    Sometimes, I freeze one for later.
