Lemon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    rind of 1 lemon
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream together sugar and shortening. Add rind of 1 lemon. Beat in eggs one at a time.
    Sift together flour, salt and baking powder and add to mixture alternately with milk. Add nuts.
    Pour into 9 x 5 greased pan.
    Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
