Ingredients

1 c. shortening
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. shredded coconut
1/2 c. walnuts
1 c. uncooked rolled oats
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (1 lb.) pkg. cut dates
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour (use 1/2 c. to flour dates)
Preparation

Mix all ingredients together.
Drop onto baking sheet from teaspoon.
Bake for 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
