Lemon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. grated lemon rind
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix in order given.
    Pour into 5 x 9-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Remove from oven and pour 1/4 cup sugar and 3 tablespoons lemon juice over hot bread.
    Cool 10 minutes, then place on a rack.
    Do not cut for 24 hours.
