Mother Mac'S Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
3 ripe bananas, mashed
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Sift together the flour, soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and allspice.
With mixer, cream the sugar and shortening.
Add eggs, bananas, vanilla and dry ingredients and blend well.
Add chopped nuts.
Pour batter into a 9 x 5 x 2-inch greased and floured loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 minutes.
Cool 15 minutes and remove from pan.
Thoroughly cool before slicing.
