Banana-Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1-3/4 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. mashed, ripe bananas
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Cream together shortening and sugar, add eggs and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture, alternating with bananas, blending well after each addition. Stir in nuts. Pour into well greased 9-1/2 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven 40 to 45 minutes or until done. Remove from pan, cool on rack. For added flavor add blueberries.
