Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. boiling water
    5 tsp. soda
    1 qt. buttermilk
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. shortening
    4 c. All-Bran or Bran Buds
    5 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream
    sugar, shortening and eggs.
    Add bran to boiling water; cool.
    Add
    bran
    to
    creamed
    mixture.
    Sift together flour, salt and soda.
    Add flour and buttermilk alternately to bran mixture.
    Bake
    at
    400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    (Mix will keep four
    weeks
    in the refrigerator, just add a little flour to thicken the portion you want to use.)
