Cranberry Fruit Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. orange juice
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 to 2 c. fresh chopped cranberries
Preparation
    Sift all dry ingredients.
    Blend in shortening well.
    Combine orange juice and rind in beaten egg.
    Pour all at once over dry ingredients, mixing just enough to dampen.
    Carefully fold in nuts and cranberries.
    Spoon into greased loaf pan.
    Spread to corners higher than center.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
