Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
white flour
Preparation

Combine the ingredients in their order.
Add white flour until thick like pie dough.
Roll out on floured board and cut shapes as desired.
After first 2 or 3 rollings, the dough will be less tasty so plan to use as much dough in each rolling as possible. Thick cookies have a cake-like taste.
