Ingredients

2/3 c. butter
1 lb. light brown sugar
3 eggs, beaten
2 3/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 pkg. chocolate pieces (12 oz.)
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Melt butter and sugar; cool.
Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to mixture.
Mix in nuts and chocolate pieces.
Bake in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan for 25 to 30 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
Cut in baking bars when slightly cool.
Yields 3 dozen.
Don't over cook.
