Snickerdoodle Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream together shortening, sugar, vanilla and eggs.
    Add flour, cream of tartar, salt and soda.
    Roll in small balls and roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture.
    Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
    Let cool slightly on cookie sheet, then put on cookie racks to cool completely.
