Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. chunky applesauce
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Caramel Glaze
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg, applesauce and vanilla.
Mix in dry ingredients, raisins and walnuts.
Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 1 inch apart on greased baking sheets.
Bake 10 minutes or until lightly brown around edges.
Drizzle glaze over warm cookies with spoon, then transfer to cooling rack.
