Apricot Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
    3/4 c. milk
    3/4 c. orange juice
    1 tsp. salt
    3 c. flour
    3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped dried apricots
    1/2 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Mix sugar, shortening and egg thoroughly.
    Stir in milk and orange juice.
    Sift dry ingredients together and stir in.
    Blend in nuts and apricots.
    Pour into greased 8-inch loaf pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 to 70 minutes until toothpick comes out clean (top will crack open).
    Makes two 8-inch loaves.
