Best Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. soft butter
1/3 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
2 eggs
1 to 2 Tbsp. milk

Preparation

Grease cookie sheets.
Preheat oven at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Sift dry ingredients 5 times.
Cream the butter and shortening until mixed. Add sugar and flavorings and cream well.
Beat in eggs until fluffy. Add flour in 2 or 3 portions.
Mix until smooth. Add milk and mix.
Chill 1 hour.
